In 2000, the vision of Forty Creek founder John Hall and Master Distiller Bill Ashburn came to fruition with the creation of the Barrel Select whisky. Crafted from a blend of grain whiskies and finished in ex-bourbon and new American oak, this whisky is acclaimed for its rich flavours and exceptional smoothness.

Tasting Notes

Forty Creek is often credited for the renewed interest in quality Canadian whisky. The original pours a medium amber and offers complex aromas and flavours of apricots, caramel, spice, vanilla, ginger and toasted oak, ending in a long smooth finish.
